24-bit color, in a RGB color space, is a color depth that can allow for up to 16,777,216 unique colors, split into three sets of 8-bit values for 256 levels per red, green, or blue channel. This is also known as "true color" on PCs and "millions" of colors on classic Mac OS. This color space has been supported by Adobe Photoshop since version 1.0 in 1990.
