Adobe Digital Experience Protection Technology (ADEPT) is a digital rights management (DRM) technology that was developed by Adobe Systems. It superseded the DRM in Adobe Content Server 3 and was integrated as part of Adobe Content Server 4 and Adobe Digital Editions 1.0.[1][2]
ADEPT became Adobe's sole officially supported DRM on January 1, 2008 and the previous Digital Rights Management activator service was retired on January 1, 2009.[3]
