Adobe Acrobat 8 Elements

Adobe Acrobat 8 Elements was a version of the simplified Acrobat Elements line that was scheduled to be released by Adobe Systems in mid-2007. However, Adobe announced on April 23, 2007 that there would be no new version of Elements and instead offered upgrades to Acrobat 8 Standard for existing users.

Discontinuation

As the ability to create PDF files became a basic feature integrated into the Mac OS X and Windows operating systems, sales of Acrobat Elements was discontinued on June 2, 2008. Elements customers with an active upgrade plan on that date were provided Acrobat 9 Standard. Acrobat Elements Server was superseded by Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator.
