Box of version 8 Standard
Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard is the eighth major basic version of the Acrobat PDF editor, released by Adobe Systems as part of the Acrobat 8 family on November 3, 2006.
Release history[]
- Version 8.0 was released on November 3, 2006.
- Version 8.1.4 was released on March 18, 2009.
- Version 8.1.5 was released on May 12, 2009 and was the final Standard edition update.
End of support[]
Technical support ended on November 3, 2011.[1] In July 2017, activation servers for Adobe Creative Suite 3 applications were shut down, which also affected Acrobat 8. Registered users who wished to continue using Acrobat 8 after that date could use their valid serial number to download a new installer from Adobe that could be activated without contacting a server.[2] In December 2019, Adobe stopped providing CS3 downloads entirely.[3][4]
