Adobe Acrobat Reader 1.0 is the first version of the Acrobat Reader PDF client viewer, released along with Acrobat Exchange 1.0 in June 1993 by Adobe Systems. It supported the PDF 1.0 standard and was succeeded by Acrobat Reader 2.0.
The Acrobat Reader 1.0 package was the only version to be sold commercially and included:
- Adobe Reader application
- Adobe Type Manager
- Adobe Type Reunion (Mac version only)
- 14 Type 1 fonts and Multiple Master technology for font substitution
