Adobe After Effects 5 is the fifth major version of the After Effects motion graphics and compositing application from Adobe Systems. It was also available as part of the Adobe Digital Video Collection.

- Version 5.0, code named Melmet, shipped in April 2001.[1]
- Version 5.5, code named Fauxfu, shipped on January 7, 2002 and is the first release to support Mac OS X.
