Audition CC was first released on June 17, 2013 as a 64-bit application.[1]

Starting in October 2017, Audition CC relied on the Windows or macOS operating systems for decoding and playback of Dolby audio. Versions prior to CC 2017 10.1.2 were no longer available and future versions do not provide native support for encoding Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus sound formats.[2][3]
