Product history[]
The software began as Glassbook Content Server from Glassbook, which was acquired by Adobe in 2000.[1] It initially supported distribution of content in PDF and EPUB formats for Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader and presently supports Adobe Digital Editions. Adobe ADEPT digital rights management technology was implemented in Adobe Content Server 4.[2]
