Standard edition

Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio, also simply called Production Studio, was released on January 17, 2006 by Adobe Systems as the successor to its Video Collection series, incorporating new applications from Creative Suite 2.[1] It was succeeded in 2007 by Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium.

After Adobe Systems acquired Macromedia in December 2005,[3] Flash Professional 8 from Macromedia Studio 8 was added to Production Studio Premium in the Adobe Video Bundle.[4]

End of support[]

On December 15, 2012, activation servers for CS2 applications were shut down, which also affected Production Studio.[5] Registered users who wished to continue using Production Studio applications after that date could download new installers from Adobe with new serial numbers that could be activated without contacting a server.[6] Some users and websites had interpreted that Adobe was giving CS2 applications away for free, but Adobe clarified that these were only for registered users and began requiring a valid existing serial number to access downloads.[7][8] In May 2019, Adobe stopped providing the downloads entirely.[9]
