Adobe Director 11 was the eleventh major version of the Director series of multimedia authoring environments. It was also the first new version to be produced by Adobe Systems after its acquisition of Macromedia in December 2005. Shockwave was also rebranded alongside Director.[1]
Product history[]
Director 11.0 was released on March 25, 2008. It featured DirectX 9 and Unicode support and extended 3D capabilities based on the Ageia PhysX engine, as well as bitmap filters, enhanced video, audio and image file formats support, and Adobe Flash CS3 integration. Adobe Shockwave Player 11 was also announced.[2]
Director 11.5 was released on March 23, 2009. New features included enhanced 3D support and 5.1 surround sound with real-time mixing and filters.[3]
