Adobe Distiller Server, formerly Adobe Acrobat Distiller Server, was a server-based utility that was developed by Adobe Systems to perform centralized high-volume conversion of PostScript files to Adobe PDF formats for workgroups.

Version 4.0

  • Adobe Acrobat Distiller Server 4.0 was released in March 2000.[1]
  • Adobe Acrobat Distiller Server 5.0 was released in October 2001.[2]
  • Adobe Acrobat Distiller Server 6.0 was released in November 2003.[3] In 2006, Adobe recommended that users migrate to Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator 7.0.[4]
  • Adobe Distiller Server 8 was released in November 2007.[5] Adobe discontinued sales and development on May 31, 2013 and recommended that users migrate to Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator ES.[6]
