Adobe FrameMaker XML Author

Adobe FrameMaker XML Author was an XML/DITA authoring tool from Adobe, based on the XML Author mode from the corresponding full version of FrameMaker. With DTD and MathML equation support, it facilitated scalability in authoring content for both left-to-right and right-to-left languages. Licensing costs were lower than the full version, but publishing capabilities were limited in FrameMaker XML Author, which did not support opening FM and MIF files.

Product history

Only two major versions were released from 2014 to 2015; FrameMaker XML Author was discontinued as a separate product in 2018.
