Adobe InDesign CS is the 3rd major version of the InDesign page layout application, which was also included as part of Adobe Creative Suite 1.
Product history[]
InDesign CS was released on October 28, 2003. It included tools and features to help migrate users from QuarkXPress and Adobe PageMaker 6.5, which it was planned to eventually replace.[1]
PageMaker Edition[]
In January 2004, a "PageMaker Edition" was released to help facilitate migration from PageMaker 6 through 7. The PageMaker Plug-in Pack was also available separately for existing users.[2]
