Adobe Media Encoder (AME) is a video media transcoding utility developed and marketed by Adobe through Adobe Creative Cloud. It is designed for integration into workflows with other video applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

- Adobe Media Encoder 1.0 was introduced on August 21, 2003 as an integrated part of Premiere Pro 1.0.
- Adobe Media Encoder 2.0 was released on January 17, 2006 as part of Premiere Pro 2.
- Adobe Media Encoder CS3 was released on April 16, 2007 as part of Premiere Pro CS3.
- Adobe Media Encoder CS4 was released on September 23, 2008 as part of Premiere Pro CS4.
- Adobe Media Encoder CS5 was released in April 2010 as part of Premiere Pro CS5 and was also included as a standalone application in Adobe Acrobat X Suite.
- Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5 was released in April 2011 as a standalone part of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5.
- Adobe Media Encoder CS6 was released in April 2012 as a standalone part of Adobe Creative Suite 6.
- Adobe Media Encoder CC was released in May 2013 through Adobe Creative Cloud.
