Adobe Media Encoder CS5 was the fifth major version of the Media Encoder video media transcoding utility. It was developed by Adobe Systems and released in April 2010 as part of Adobe Creative Suite 5.

Though Media Encoder CS5 initially shipped as a built-in function of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, a standalone version was released with Adobe Acrobat X Suite in November 2010.

Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5 was released in April 2011 as a separate application from Premiere Pro CS5.5.[1]
