Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5 was an intermediate upgrade to the the fifth major version of the Media Encoder video media transcoding utility. It was developed by Adobe Systems and released in April 2011 as part of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5.

Unlike previous Creative Suite releases, it was split off into its own standalone application, which allowed for direct encoding by dragging and dropping project files without having to launch Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. It was succeeded by Adobe Media Encoder CS6 in April 2012.
