Adobe Photoshop CS (code named "Dark Matter") is the eighth major version of Photoshop, released by Adobe Systems in October 2003 for Macintosh and Windows systems. It was also included as part of the first Adobe Creative Suite. The "CS" stands for "Creative Suite", an Adobe initiative to bundle its various programs into coherent packages, unifying their interfaces, and adding interoperability between them.
New features[]
With a redesigned brush engine and other core changes, Photoshop CS is a drastically different program from its predecessor, Photoshop 7.
