Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 (initially Premiere version 7.0) is the first version of Premiere Pro to succeed the classic Adobe Premiere video editing applications. It was designed for Windows XP and was not available for Macintosh.[1] It was also bundled with the Adobe Video Collection.

- Adobe Premiere Pro 1.0 was was announced on July 7 and released on August 21, 2003.[1]
- Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 was released on May 24, 2004.
- Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.1 was released on March 1, 2005.
End of support[]
On December 15, 2012, activation servers for Adobe Creative Suite 2 applications were shut down, which also affected Premiere Pro 1.0 / Premiere 7.0. Registered users who wished to continue using Premiere Pro 1.0 after that date could download a new installer from Adobe with a new serial number that could be activated without contacting a server.[2] Some users and websites had interpreted that Adobe was giving CS2 applications away for free, but Adobe clarified that these were only for registered users and began requiring a valid existing serial number to access downloads.[3][4] In May 2019, Adobe stopped providing the downloads entirely.[5]
