Starting in October 2017, Premiere Pro CC relied on the Windows or macOS operating systems for decoding and playback of Dolby audio. Premiere Pro CC 2017 and earlier were no longer available and future versions do not provide native support for encoding Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus sound formats.[1]
