Image Club Graphics was a self-described "cool, little division" of Adobe Systems,[1] a result of the acquisition of Aldus Corporation in 1994.[2]
History[]
Based in Calgary, Canada, Image Club Graphics was founded in 1985 by Greg Kolodziejzyk as a digital image and typeface library.[1][3] In 1994, Image Club Graphics was acquired by Aldus,[2] which itself was merged into Adobe on August 31, 1994.[4]
The content was rebranded as Adobe Studios in 1998 and then spun off as EyeWire,[2] which was acquired by Getty Images in August 1999.[5] In May 2003, the EyeWire website and URL was acquired by Fonts.com, a subsidiary of AGFA Monotype.[6]
