SoundEdit Pro was a sound editing application that was distributed by MacroMind-Paracomp.
In November 1991, the MacroMind-Paracomp announced that it was acquiring Farallon Computing's SoundEdit audio software. It was released in 1992 as SoundEdit Pro 1.0, which added support for 16-bit sound. In that same year, MacroMind-Paracomp merged with Authorware Inc. to form what would become Macromedia.
