MacroMind MediaMaker was an early video editing and compositing program released in late 1990 by MacroMind, the predecessor of Macromedia.[1]

The package contains two application "modules":[2]

  • MediaMaker Collections assembles a library of media elements with visual thumbnails of each segment.
  • MediaMaker Sequences allows the user to assemble and edit the segments in up to four tracks.[2] A print-to-tape feature can output the project to videotape for presentations,[3] though not at broadcast quality.[1] Video hardware is not included.[2]
