Macromedia Backstage Internet Studio 2 box

Macromedia Backstage Internet Studio 2 is an early "Studio" software suite for Windows 95 and NT that was released in the first quarter of 1997.[1] It is the second (and last) major version of Backstage from Macromedia after its acquisition of the developer, iBand, on March 13, 1996.[2]

Macromedia began beta testing Backstage Internet Studio 2 in December 1996.[3] It was released in the first quarter of 1997.[1]

Backstage version 2.0 was selected as an Editor's Choice by E-Media's in March 1997 and was awarded 4 out of 5 stars by PC/Computing in April 1997.[5]
