Macromedia Extreme 3D (version 1) was the first release of the Extreme 3D modeling, animation, and rendering application developed and marketed by Macromedia.[1] Released on January 31, 1996, it succeeded MacroModel and was superseded by Extreme 3D 2 on December 16, 1996.[2][3] It was also included as part of Macromedia FreeHand Graphics Studio and initial shipments of FreeHand Graphics Studio 7.[4]
