Macromedia Flex Builder was an integrated development environment (IDE) that was released by Macromedia for application development on the Flex platform.

In December 2005, Macromedia was acquired by Adobe Systems,[1] which released Adobe Flex Builder 2 as a successor based on the Eclipse IDE.
