Macromedia xRes 3 is the third and last major version of the xRes image editing application, released in 1997 by Macromedia. It was also bundled into Macromedia FreeHand Graphics Studio 7.
Discontinuation[]
xRes was discontinued at the end of 1998. Macromedia suggested that users migrate to Fireworks,[1] which adopted some of the features of xRes and Matisse.[2][3]
