Mark Stephen Pierce is one of the co-founders of MacroMind,[1] the predecessor of Macromedia, which was acquired by Adobe Systems in December 2005.[2]
Pierce entered the School of the Art Institute of Chicago at the age of 14. During the 1980s, Pierce collaborated with Jonathan Gay on Dark Castle at Silicon Beach Software.[3] Pierce has since founded Super Happy Fun Fun, the publisher of Return to Dark Castle.[4]
